Wildlife and Landscape Photography from the Isle of Man
Another very bright, but windy day resulted in a visit down to Port Soderick. Unfortunately, the tide was in which only left a small amount of shoreline to be investigated, mainly by a Hooded Crow, Rock Pipit and Oyster Catcher.

Even the Hooded Crow was having a bad feather day due to the wind!
However the little Rock Pipit didn’t seem to notice the wind, and just kept searching the seaweed for tasty morsels.

Moving up into the glen, mainly to get out of the wind and see if there were many bluebells around, I noticed a flash of yellow fly quickly up the stream and went under a bridge. Re-tracing my steps and following the stream around, I found the owner of the bright yellow rump, a Grey Wagtail.

It was not until later when checking the images I noticed a little something extra. On a leaf in the stream, just behind the wagtail’s tail, there appears to be a Harlequin Ladybird.
Although there were plenty of bluebells, I did not think there were enough to make a colourful picture, even with all the wild garlic that was in bloom. I’ll have to take a look down at Ballaglass Glen.
